INTERMEDIATE LEVEL KIT
The P-47D needs no introduction. It was one of the mainstays of the US fighters in the European theater of WWII. Big
and tough with a double row turbosupercharged engine and big 4 blade prop.
The P-47 also came in two versions, the razorback version and the bubble canopy version. The current kit is for the Razorback.
Keith did a wonderful job in building the prototype and doing all the plastic work for this one. He also is a fan of
retractable LG so he added that provision to the kit. You can build it one of three ways, with retracts, with fixed LG and
as a belly lander.
Because Sparky is a master level scale modeler he added plastic for a lot of the scale features. The cowl also has the
motor included in the part. Pilot, instrument panel, air scoops, turbocharger outlet two 500lb bombs and bomb hard points
are all included in the kit.
We have also made a good deal with Callie of Callie's Graphics for a nice set of insignia to go with this one. The scheme
chosen was the "Wicked Wabbit" shown in the photo below.
This initial offering is for the Razorback to go with plans that can be obtained from Flying Models Magazine, July 2008
issue. The kit includes the plastic parts mentioned above, the graphics by Callie, and all the lasercut parts. It is still
a short kit and will require some std balsa sizes to complete, mainly 1/8"sq and 1/8"x1/16" balsa sticks.
Specifications:
Wingspan: 40"
Weight: 20 oz
Design power:
Brushless 'bell' outrunner
3s 1320 LiPo
The EFlite 370/400 or other 100-150W outrunners will also work well. The design is for a GWS stick type mounting.

Kit does not include plans. Plans can be purchased from Flying Models Magazine. Kit includes laser cut balsa parts, vacuum
formed plastic parts and graphics.
