The "Tommy" was the first fighter produced in the US for the Army Air Corps. It has some heritage to the British
Sopwith line as one of the desingers had worked on the line of successful Sopwith airplanes prior to joining the Thomas Morse
company. But, the Tommy did not get to the troops before the end of WWI. It ended up being used mainly as an advanced trainer.
This model is built the same as most of Pete's designs and is equipped with ailerons for 4 channel control. Power can
be either brushed with a geared sp400, or, brushless with any number of power setups. The inexpensive 'bell' outrunners on
a 2s LiPo are good, as well as any other power system that delivers 90W or more.
Flying is good for any intermediate pilot. Maneuvers typical of any WWI plane are easily performed.
