INTERMEDIATE LEVEL KIT
A Frederic Klein design airplane.
The A1 Skyraider, known by many as the SPAD, was the laser pinston engine fighter bomber in the US inventory. It carried
a huge payload of bombs and rockets and had fuel enough to loiter for long periods of time. The A1 served a vital mission
during the Vietnam war where it served as an escort for the CH-53 helicopters that went in country to rescue downed pilots.
We will eventually offer the alternate canopy, known as the "greenhouse", used on the 4 seat version of the A1.
The model is an all wood design. The fuselage is built around a crutch type of construction. Tabs and slot construction
help in self aligning all the pieces. The plan contains all notes to help the builder. The A1 is typical of a small warbird
and shows no bad habits. Full aerobatic routines are possible.
This is a 4 channel airplane with ailerons, rudder, elevator and throttle. You will need 4 micro servos.
