Engines:
The rotary and radial engines have powered airplanes since the beginning of flight. Models of such planes always look
a little "bare" with a large round cowl and nothing to fill it in. Some like to print a likeness of the motor on
a sheet of balsa and glue it inside the cowl. For those who want a little more realistic to fill that big open space we now
offer these vacuum formed models of the 9cyl rotary engine and several variations of the radial engines used from the 1920's
to the present.
These are not exact replicas. They are sport scale. You can dress them up quite well to look like your favorite round
engine with some bits of plastic for things like spark plug wires, pushrods, etc. Most sizes are such that small outrunners
will even fit within the crankcase area of the model engine. The parts are not painted.
On the downloads page there are instructions and pictures for the WWI engine. The 7 and 9 cyl versions are similar.
