Another Peter Rake plane. The British Airways Transport FK-24 Baboon is designed for small brushless power and Lithium Polymer
batteries
The aircraft is larger and is NOT suitable for park flying. Will mix in well with the IC crowd at the local airfield
and performs well. Flies and lands much easier than most warbirds.
You can see Peter's simple design and build techniques in the skeleton view. The aircraft is straightforward, even with the
unconventional landing gear arrangement. The motor is also from laser cut pieces. You can add as much scale looks as you
want.
The Baboon flies well too. Those who read this site a lot will hear that often. But, I do have to say that any plane
designed by Rake or Tritle will fly very well when built per the plan.
The Baboon, being one of Peter's larger planes, is very stable in the air. Not for a beginning flier or builder, but,
an intermediate pilot will take grat joy in seeing his new creation descend gently to the tarmac after a successful flight.
