INTERMEDIATE LEVEL KIT
A Peter Rake design airplane.
The SE-5A was the renowned British fighter of WWI. It was fitted with the more powerful V engines of the day with water
cooling. The performance was next to none and it was well suited to combat with the Fokker DVII's. Because of it's long
nose, generous wing area, and significant dihedral the SE-5A makes a great model for the R/C flier.
The construction is typical of Rake designs with a box front fuselage and framed rear section. A straight fuse is easy
to obtain and is very strong. A roomy fuselage allows easy access to radio gear and a wide range of battery locations to
obtain the proper CG.
The design power package is the Olympus gear box and the Sp400 motor on 8cells. This setup gives very good scale type
performance from this plane.
Control is 3 or 4 channel. The SE-5A is capable of most standard aerobatics including loops and aileron rolls.
