INTERMEDIATE LEVEL KIT
A Peter Rake design airplane. Prototype built and flown by Peter Rake.
The Bristol F2B "Brisfit" was the ultimate of the WWI fighters and was carried on into the post WWI years.
A large two seat fighter with large V-8 engine, it was stable and fast with a rear gunner to keep the enemy away from the
tail. Peter does his usual job of making this plane easier to build than it should be. Two full wings with the fuselage
suspended in between.
The construction is typical of Rake designs with a box front fuselage and framed rear section. A straight fuse is easy
to obtain and is very strong. The difference is that Pete has designed a relatively simple way to mount those two wings to
the fuse. A great looking sport scale rendition of the Brisfit.
The design power package is the Olympus geared sp400. This economical power system has more than enough juice to make
the Brisfit jump into the air and fly much faster than scale. Pete's initial flights were flawless and displayed very gentle
flying characteristics.
Control is designed for 3 channel.
